Child & Youth Services (CYS) recognizes the challenges of our Soldiers and their Families. By offering quality programs for children, youth and students, CYS supports the Army Family by reducing the conflict between mission readiness and parental responsibility.

Upwards

Upwards covers childcare for the Army Reserve and National Guard during drills. Receive no-cost childcare from licensed and approved caregivers during drill weekends.

Army Quality of Life | Childcare

The Army provides quality and affordable care for children ages six weeks to 18 years of age and is investing in initiatives to increase access to child care. Each year, Child, Youth & School Services supports more than 226,000 children and youth through a system of both on- and off-post options.

Army National Guard Weekend Drill Child Care (WDCC)

Administered by Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA), the WDCC was created to provide authorized drilling Army National Guard Soldiers with access to no-cost, hourly child care to support the unique child care needs for Army National Guard Families during scheduled weekend drill periods.

The U.S. Army Child, Youth and School (CYS) Services is committed to supporting the needs of Army families located on the installation or in areas where no military child care and youth programming is offered or is unavailable at installations due to high demand. CYS Services maintains a network of delivery systems through which the Army provides quality, affordable, available, and accountable childcare and youth programs for Army families.
